Lunch Lady Chuck is episode 18b of Season 2 of WordGirl.

Summary[]

After the former Lunch Lady retires, Chuck gets a new job at school instead of being an extraordinary criminal mastermind. Then, he refuses to wear a hairnet because it pinches his head so bad and quits, and brings out his crushing giant sandwich press. At the end, The school has to find another Lunch Lady while Chuck becomes a lunch person for the local jail.

Plot[]

At Woodview Elementary the principal announces to all the students that their lunch lady is retiring and the lunch lady makes a farewell speech to the students before skateboarding away. Afterwards, Sally Botsford comes onstage, she explains that as the District Attorney it is not only her job to make sure all the criminals are locked up but also when they are released they are given law abiding jobs. Sally tells everyone that their new lunch lady is Chuck the Evil Sandwich Making Guy. After being announced, Chuck explains that he prefers lunch fellow which Sally and the principal are fine with. Becky however is suspicious of Chuck due to his criminal background. Later on, Chuck is serving some sandwiches at the cafeteria, when he serves Becky a Peanut Butter and Jelly she loves it, he also notices how hungry Bob is, so he makes him a sandwich. The kids love his sandwiches and Chuck enjoys his job as a lunch fellow, and Becky decides that Chuck only needed a second chance. Later, the Principal comments on how well Chuck is doing at his job but does express concern. Chuck asks if she is worried that kids will love his sandwiches so much they won't want to eat at home. The principal says that might be true but says that he does need to wear a hairnet. At first Chuck insists that he is very clean as he washes up every night, but the principal, while impressed with his cleanliness explains that it is required by law that everyone who works in the food preparation line wear a hairnet so Chuck does to. When he put it on, it pinches the top of his head, causing him to make a mess in pain. He then quits after deciding he won't wear the hairnet. After that, he decides to threaten the school using his crusher to tell them about the hairnet rule. To stop this WordGirl successfully helps Chuck find a perfectly fitting hairnet, but then, struggles to guess the password to stop the crusher. Eventually, Chuck tells her the password is "password". After Chuck's plan was stopped, he was sent to work as the new lunch fellow in jail.
